[Goth Lyfe 4: Goth Money]

Uhgh.

The idea of doing things for yourself and therefore not being comformist, like Goths, is old and outdated. It's been done years ago, about 3 times, by South Park and they made the point then with clarity, whereas here it's barely touched on. It asks the question: are you trying to mock goths,or just score points for mocking goths?

I think goths are retarded, but no more than people who make fun of goths for no reason. Buuut, you'll get a high score because everyone hates goths and you've aligned yourself with them. The beauty of a safe social stance, huh?

My god. It's supposed to be all artsy-fartsy but it's just a dumb cliched attempt at a serious work. No. Seen Pleasantville anyone? Seen Sin City? Blood being the only colour. Deep man. Go to hell. You've just taken a really old concept and adapted it to shitty blob characters to make it look like you've got some emotional depth. No. You're a pretentious fuck.

It's hacks like you that ruin good ideas.

Actually, I started this before Sin City came out, and I hadn't seen Pleasantville yet. It wasn't supposed to be deep, and blob characters were about the only thing I could pull off at the time. Its only purpose was to practice some animating. And, actually, blood wasn't the only color in those movies. Color is a symbol of emotion, that's a common concept.

Sorry man, but if you're going to go with an ideas-based cartoon, at least have good ideas.

It wasn't actually funny at all. Lame. It's supposed to be anti-smoking, I get that, but you'd think that an anti-smoking cartoon would address some of the issues with smoking. This just has, I think, the message "you'll lose your friends and your health" if you smoke. It doesn't have anything to do with the reason why people smoke: most people do it just to relax, and you won't actually lose your friends. Everyone knows it makes you sick, but who cares? I don't want to live til 90.

So, misinformation to further your case: that's actually just propoganda. This is a bullshit little cartoon.

Great!-ish

I really enjoyed this, and I watched it all the way to the end, which isn't common for a portal entry. Mind you, most portal entries involve random people dying and unfunny attempts at parody. (HINT: LOOK UP PARODY).

The graphics were shit, with the exception of the lip sync which was pretty much perfect. Well done there. Where it really stood out was the script. At the beginning, with the psychiatrist'so office, I was a little worried. It was a shaky start, but your style of humour was good. As you went to the flashback, it started to get awesome. Well done there.

A solid first attempt, and if you tidy up the animation or maybe start a team, get a partner, that sort of thing, you could be one of the bigwigs at NG.
